I started playing in college and fell in love with it right away and have been playing pretty much nonstop, except for when I was busy at the heating corp for a few weeks.
I got out of bed around 9:30 am after sleeping in a bit. Last night we had a fun time on the coast with a group of friends, music, beer, and a few volleyball nets. This is my 31st summer playing the sport and I just want to make it one more summer. My knees don’t have any cartilage left, so I am playing a bit less than last year, but with the therapy I’ve been doing on my legs I think I will be good for at least one more year. I quit a few times because the local contractor and I got too busy with work, but then I found time from my busy HVAC tech job to go back to the sport that I’ve loved playing since 1992. Today I will rest and not play, even though I know my friends will be back out there again playing later today. But I have to work for the cooling corp this week during the day and don’t finish each day till I get the ductwork cleaned for this big commercial job we are doing. I usually get done with all of my work by 4pm, sometimes I even finish by 2pm, so I will have time to go and watch my friends play while I chill out in the sand and relax in my beach chair.
