For the last 25 years I have been doing nothing but HVAC Servicing.
To be honest, I’m getting a little bit tired of working on furnaces and air conditioning units.
I work on ventilation systems also, but not very often. Since I only work on home service HVAC, I don’t get many chances to work on a ventilation system. I help out when there is cleaning to be done on ductwork, which is something like working on industrial-size ventilation systems, really nothing like it. There is nothing I would like better than to get into commercial HVAC. I have already worked on the air conditioning unit in our church, and on the HVAC system that is in the building where my wife works. My wife is a lawyer in one of the high-rises in the city, and she was always complaining about how poorly her office was ventilated, and how bad the air-conditioning was. When I offered to come down to the office and check her HVAC unit, she was thrilled. She asked if I was sure I knew how to work on such an HVAC system as what they had in her office building. When I got to her office I realized that all she really had was the equivalent of a mini-split ductless HVAC unit. I not only knew how to work on the ductless HVAC system, but I had installed several of the units that were in her building. It didn’t take long to know that all the HVAC system needed was cleaned. The ventilation in her office was perfect by the time I was done, and now she was thrilled with me.
