Springtime break is a long drive with no air conditioning in the car

It was my idea to go all the way to the Sunshine State for Springtime break, then vicki & Sabrina wanted to go to the shore, but I thought both of us would have a lot more fun going all the way to the beach, but since it was my idea, I offered to drive! The two of us took my car & filled the trunk with all of our suitcases, shoes, makeup bags, & supplies.

Vicki & I took turns driving for the first few hours.

The two of us left town after dinner & missed most of the rush hour traffic! By the time the sunlight went down, the hot & cold temperatures were falling & things were really cooling off. The two of us did not turn on the AC until the day. The two of us were several hours from our endpoint when both of us realized that the AC was not working, and it was pretty warm outside, & I did not guess if the lack of AC would affect any other parts of the vehicle. The two of us drove the final several hours to our endpoint & I parked my car in the garage. I called a mobile mechanic to come look at the AC, because I had a credit card for emergency purposes. The mechanic abruptly realized that one of the wires was loose, but she added a small harness to tighten the wire & that fixed the AC problem. I did not guess if I would spend $10 or $1,000, but I knew my friends & I could not drive home without AC. I’m thankful that both of us did not run into any more issues the rest of the trip. The drive home was free of worry as well.
