I was looking online recently and doing research to buy a new central heating and air conditioning system. I had been in the market for a new HVAC unit for a while and was just putting it off. The time had finally come for me to get my very own new central heating and air conditioning system unit. I was looking around at different sale advertisements and specifically checking the SEER rating of all the central heating and air conditioning systems they had on this one website. The SEER rating is what was most important to me more than the sales price. The last central HVAC system I had did not have a very good SEER rating. I didn’t learn about SEER ratings till quite recently. And when I found that my old central HVAC system had a really bad SEER rating it explained a lot of things. The main thing being that my electric bills had been much higher than they had to be! If I had a decent SEER rating I would have had much lower electric bills every single month. After browsing tons of central heating and air conditioning systems, I found one that was the same as my old one! However the SEER rating listed was completely wrong. It was reading that the SEER rating was a lot better than it actually was. I wasn’t sure if this was an error in the listing or if they were trying to lie and rip people off! I was tempted to contact the website about this misinformation on the SEER rating. But then I decided it was best to leave it alone.
