Trying to find a way to bond with her

I have been trying to make a point with my cousin’s new betrothed.

Her and I just don’t have anything in common.

When we try to talk, it is real awkward. There is no standard ground for us at all. I decided that maybe her and I should do something fun as a pair, and perhaps that would break the ice & get us closer as gal pals. I signed us up for a group physical training class. The class is 2 days a week & focuses on weightlifting. I always wanted to tone my arms & class is said to do just that. The personal trainer mostly had us work in a big group doing lifting exercises. There are times when all of us will partner up & toss weighted balls back & forth. There are even weighted ropes & poles that we can play with. I enjoy the group fitness class & look forward to it both times during the week, however my cousin’s lady clearly hates it. She bitterly whines about being tight afterwards & not wanting to look like a dude. She doesn’t see the point in lifting weights for women. Secondly, she will frequently dog it on the exercises or just not do them at all. I am appalled by her doing this. I have almost told her not to come anymore, but that seems counterproductive to why I invited her. I don’t want her to ruin our group fitness class or upset the personal trainer though. I enjoy it too much. I suppose this is not our thing together.
