Replacing attic

I used to suppose that the attic of my condo was strictly for storing things, then i’ve since realized that the attic is designed to create a barrier against the weather, but to protect against heat, frosty plus humidity, it needs to be respectfully insulated.

  • Heating plus air conditioning is responsible for around 50% of household energy consumption.

I was spending a small luck to maintain a comfortable temperature during the middle of Wintertide plus summer, and when I hired an Heating plus Air Conditioning company to repair the gas furnace, I complained over the cost of the heating bills. He asked about the attic plus I admitted that the insulation was over twenty years old. When I evaluated it out, the insulation had apparently been compromised by moisture plus rodents. While replacing the insulation was a labor-intensive plus unpleasant task, it was most certainly worthwhile. I’ve trimmed my heating plus cooling costs by 15%. I’ve learn that insulation in the attic helps to avoid damage as a result of heat plus moisture. It stops water vapor from seeping into plus degrading the walls. It slows down the buildup of heat in the attic which can lead to complications with the shingles plus reduces the growth of mold plus mildew. There’s also less chance of ice dams forming from snow melting plus refrosty on the roof’s edge. I’ve noticed that the condo is much cleaner since upgrading the insulation. There’s less dust, pollen plus other contaminants getting inside plus disadvantagely impacting air quality. I don’t need to dust plus vacuum as often, plus my kids have had fewer flu symptom symptoms.
