No electricity?

My wife and I were excited to finally find a home that was exactly what we wanted.

There were many bedrooms and it was located in Amish country.

We bought the house without even going to look at it, knowing it would be perfect for our bed and breakfast. It didn’t take long before we were able to sell our home and move to our new home in the country. The second the house came into sight, we knew we were home. It was exactly what we thought, with all of the charm of a past era. There were beautiful gardens, a large wrap around porch and a big barn in back where we imagined they kept their cars, tractors, and equipment. We went into the house and took a slow walk throughout. We opened all of the windows to let in fresh air. We noticed that every room had a huge fireplace and it was quaint and warming. It was starting to come night time so we started looking for light switches. We soon realized there weren’t any switches because there wasn’t any electricity in the house. The fireplaces were the only source of heating for the house. We knew we couldn’t live in this house without any heating or air conditioning, so we made our list and at the top we had that we had to contact an HVAC company. We also called for reservations at the local hotel. We couldn’t stay here until the electric company installed electricity into our home. This meant we also had to call the electric company and an electrician to install the wiring and the lights for us.
