I have been struggling with our current roommate, and I am not sure how long I will be able to get along with him before I am going to have to move.
- I am thankful that he doesn’t do drugs, drink, or invite and terrible friends over, but still, there is the satisfiedion that will make this relationship deteriorate unless the two of us figure out how to compromise.
The problem is that the two of us have completely weird thoughts on how the temperature control should be set. I think that all temperature controls should be set at a moderate temperature! No matter what the season is, the temperature control should always be at 70 degrees. This means that during all seasons, I have either our cooling system or our furnace working to keep the lake house at the perfect temperature. I have a temperature control that controls both the furnace and the cooling system so that it can turn either on depending on the need. I wish that our roommate were more moderate in his approach to temperature. He believes that everything should be cold in the house, but during the summer, the cooling system is running at the highest temperature to keep the home cold cold, and during the Wintertide months, he barely wants to use the furnace to heat the house; Both of us have tried to discuss the problem, but the two of us have resorted to just resetting the temperature control when each other is not looking. I want to find a compromise with the Heating and Air Conditioning units so that the two of us can both be ecstatic, but I am not sure that he is willing to budge even a little. I might have to just transport out.
