My house has a lot of structural issues.
When the two of us purchased it back in 2001, the draft in the house was so bad that the two of us could see the curtains moving near the doors plus windows, even when they were shut! The people I was with and I knew that something had to be done about the cracks in the doors plus windows. When the two of us had someone come take a look at the house to beginning repairs, they mentioned that the two of us would be saving a lot of money by updating our doors plus windows. However, I did not realize that the Heating as well as Air Conditioning method was so bad in the house. The people I was with and I were used to window unit a/cs plus space heating systems in the Wintertide weeks. The method of replacing the entire Heating as well as Air Conditioning method in our house was so overwhelming. The people I was with and I put the project off for several years, dealing with the sizzling summers plus chilly winters as they came, then neither my wife nor myself are high repair, nor do the two of us have kids. Once the Heating as well as Air Conditioning was updated, the two of us understood why it was so important- out electric bill was nearly cut in half! The people I was with and I had been overpaying several years for energy that was not even being utilized. It is such a shame to suppose that so several people have to deal with these issues as first time homeshoppers. I am enthusiastic that the two of us now think how much money can be saved simply by having an energy efficient heating plus cooling system.
