Everybody learns differently and I particularly am no exception, and I aim to learn through experience.

When I got my first car, I wrecked it because I didn’t change the engine oil. My father told me a few times to get my oil changed, but I avoided it for the longest time. I think it helps when people explain why you are supposed to do things in a particular way, and the results of not carrying them out. When I bought a home, my father told directed me to change the air filter of the HVAC system often. I thought about his warning regarding the engine oil changes when I was younger. I went to the hardware store, and got some cheap air filters and changed them out every 6 months. After a few months, the air quality was suffocating and my HVAC started making creepy noises. I called my father and asked for advice. He asked me how often I was changing my air filters, and I said about once every 6 months. He freaked out and started yelling. He said no wonder I was having troubles because I was supposed to change the air filters every month. I was surprised, however, it made sense because those air filters were legitimately dirty.
