I was adopted, however, my adoptive parents gave me something my mother wanted me to have at the age of 16.
- It was a letter that told me a lot about what happened, and why she didn’t raise me! She talked about my father, who was a courageous hero serving in the military, but unfortunately passed away in the war.
She talked about how he used to be an HVAC specialist before he joined the military. She was saying how he wished so much that he just kept on with his job as an HVAC specialist, even though he felt he could make a difference in the military. So obviously, my father was a skilled HVAC specialist who decided to bet a Veteran, even though he didn’t make it. It was actually sad although I never knew either of them. She also offered contact information for a way to get a hold of her if I wanted to reach out. I ended up reaching out and we had a great talk! While I was sad that she didn’t choose to take care of her own son, I recognized that she was struggling so bad. So every one of us started hanging out so that we could get to know each other. It was kind of awkward because she kept saying how I would make a superb HVAC specialist like my father, although I wasn’t sure if I wanted to toil in the heating plus cooling industry. That was something for me to think about.
