Last year, our Grandpa suddenly passed away.
- He was living in Michigan, a solid 1,000 miles away from our loft along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico.
I hated it when our car broke down on myself and others and I had no money left on any of our debit cards for a plane ticket to see our Grandpa while in his final moments. Instead, I had to read the news from a relative’s Facebook post while in a dinner cut at our task. For the next few months, I wasn’t completely right in the head. My mind felt scattered and torn. Finally, about more than 2 months later, our father called myself and others 1 day asking myself and others if I could help him arrange Heating and Air Conditioning repair at our Grandpa’s old house. My father was getting ready to move in and wanted to put an air conditioner inside the old house. Unluckyly, our Grandpa had said for years how every local Heating and Air Conditioning supplier told him individually that his current home was far too small for a fan-forced heating and cooling system. But, the truly first dealer that drove out to the property to supply us an quote had more than 2 weird possibilities available for us to choose from. I had two other companies supply us estimates, and they too had multiple possibilities for fan-forced heating and cooling systems. We soon realized that it was our Grandpa’s way of dismissing the question of why he never had a/c in his house. He also came from an era where this technology had not been fully adopted by the general public yet. He might have seen a/c as an optional luxury, rather than a necessity love multiple of us today.
