They handle the numbers side of the business. If your business is failing, talk to a business consultant. The business consultant will look at all departments and print out spreadsheets of numbers. They analyze the situation and see where the business is weak. They might advocate a website being built, a department being downsized or just adding a current product to the corporation line. They handle the technical side of the business. If you need the business to change, get a consultant. If you as a leader need to change, get a business coach. They are both necessary services, however quite different in how they work; So take a look at your business and decide where the weak area is… Every business has 1 and can entirely be resolved.
