For a long time our building control method was just handling the lighting, plumbing & Heating and Air Conditioning all on its own, but the smart building had everything on a timer that I did not worry about, but lights came on when I walked into a room & the Heating and Air Conditioning powered off when I left.
Recently I went over to the control pad & noticed my smart building was giving me alerts… BAS is wonderful for monitoring a building & saving energy, and however, another portion of getting a building management method is to also have it repair problems before getting humans involved or alert the user of problems that are problematic.
Recently the control pad for my smart building was letting me think that there were problems in my air quality. Too dry of air quality is actually handled by the smart building by adding moisture, dust in the air quality is actually resolved by purifying it. The pressure & chemical sensors with my smart building were detecting untypical amounts of carbon monoxide in the building. This is a tasteless, stinkless & white gas that can slowly poison a person. Prolonged exposure leads to hospitalization & even death in particular cases! I noticed the amount was rather small. I ran tests on out our heating device & there was nothing wrong with the component. I then realized that the business underneath mine uses a gas gas furnace. I realized that their heating device had sprung a leak & was infecting my space’s air quality. I immediately let them think about the issue & was able to tell when they fixed it by my control unit.
