Once I did actually live downtown. This was several years ago for sure.
I wanted to live near the action too, however the sometimes exhausting thing that the apartment was tiny! It was pretty cramped indeed.
I usually did not mind that much, because I was just gleeful frankly to be in the middle of the city. Now, of course the weather here can sometimes be all over the place ,and you would have thought that because my little place was so cramped, with teeny windows as well as low ceilings and the whole shebang, that when I would want to heat or cool the place, it would happen instantly. Well that was true. In the summer time I would turn on the air conditioning, as well as in the winter, the heater, and within seconds I would be perfectly, comfortably boiling or cool, yet as I found out, that absolutely has its own risks too, because the thing was, the Heating as well as A/C plan in that building was not a perfect match for all the sizes of living units as well as heat or cold traps that always parts of a building are going to have. In the case of my unit, it would heat up so fast that it would then turn itself off before the heating had its chance to add any moisture back into the air at mine, and so my place would be honestly as dry in the Winter as the desert. But not to worry, I got my own small space heater as well as a dehumidifier. By doing this it offered me the perfect set up for when it wasn’t that cold. Or when it did get way too cold I could just blast the central heating.
