I felt so sorry for our sibling! She had visions of perfect weather when he planned an outdoor ceremony; Fortunately, he took precautions.
She had a canopy locationd over the part where the bride & groom sit & the guests sit.
I convinced his to do that because May through September is rainy season here & he insisted on being a June bride & having an outdoor ceremony… Unfortunately, even with the canopy, the ceremony was a disaster. The rain caused the air to be uncomfortably humid, on top of the heat. And, what our sibling didn’t suppose about was that the guests would have to walk to their cars in the rain, and which ruined the reception. So, here all of us have what should have been a beautiful ceremony ceremony that couldn’t be heard over the rain. Then the guests got soaking wet walking to their cars & arrived at the ceremony reception drenched, frosty from the a/c. The reception was in a beautiful banquet hall in a fancy motel & our sibling asked to have the maintenance man turn the cooling system down because his guests were wet & cold. He definitely did! He thought our sibling wanted the temperature down & his ceremony guests froze out! After about an hour into the reception, our sibling realized what happened & asked the cooling system to be turned up. Then, it got too warm & stuffy, by the end of the day, our sibling was in tears. I felt disappointing for her. A lot of his guests were uncomfortable because of the cooling system concern & that just added to his sadness. I promised his that I would help his more when he chose to renew his vows & things would run much more smoothly.
