There is nothing like a little white noise to get me to sleep after a long day at work.
I have tried many different things to help me to sleep better at night, but the sound of a window unit air conditioner seems to be the best thing so far.
I have not always had window unit air conditioners in my life. It’s actually funny how I came across one. I had always wanted to live near the beach, but there were not many options for houses in my budget. I tried apartments, but I did not like the feel of them. I like it to be seperated and away from others. I found a cottage at the beach that was for rent one year. The cottage had window unit air conditioners. At first, I did not want to give it a try. I thought they were ugly and outdated. I was totally wrong. The window unit air conditioner provides some of the quickest cooling I have ever experienced. I love that I am able to control the temperature in each room. That is not possible with a central heating and cooling system. A central cooling system allows you to set the temperature, but it is actually only good for that one room. I enjoy being able to control the temperature in a room that I am in. For example, I like the temperature in a room to be cold when I am sleeping. This makes me sleep much better and longer. The window unit air conditioner provides white noise to help drown out the outside noises.
