I had to install a new electrical box in order to use two space heaters in my camper.
My husband and I had been wanting to go camping during the wintertime for many years.
We just never got around to going during the winter months. I think it is because the holidays are so busy, and my husband usually has even more work during the winter than during the summer. Somehow, we managed to get a week off of work and party planning to take some time to camp this year. We have our fifth wheel camper at a campground about three hours from our house. It is a beautiful campground, and many people actually camp there in the wintertime because of the ice fishing and ski slopes. We did not want to go fishing or skiing. We just wanted to relax mostly but also take hikes in the beautiful snowy mountains that surround the campground. Well, the second night of our camping trip, the little furnace in our camper stopped working. It basically just died. We had two electric space heaters that I knew would work to heat the camper, but the electrical box outside could not run that much power, so I had to replace the entire electrical box. It was about a three hour job. I am glad that my dad was an electrician and taught me how to do these things. We had heat in our camper for the rest of the trip, and it ended up being a great trip full of many memories.
