I’m always hunting for opportunities to trim expenses.
I’ve installed new windows in my house and added insulation into the attic to minimize energy waste.
I cut coupons when I’m heading to the grocery store. I always turn off the lights when I exit a room. I bought a smart thermostat to make it easier and more convenient to lessen the cost of heating and cooling. Just recently, I was checking out a list of ways to save money and home security systems were listed at the top. Adding a home security plan qualified me for a less expensive homeowners insurance premium. The lower rates helps to pay for the cost of the system. I’ve discovered that the security system provides rewards above and beyond lower insurance premiums. It includes a motion-activated surveillance camera that lets me know if anyone walks up onto my front porch. Whether I’m at home, at work or off on a vacation, I am always able to watch real-time footage. I can check to see who is knocking on the door. I can even speak to them. With the addition of automated door locks, I have the ability to lock and unlock the front or back door from anywhere at any given time. I can provide temporary access codes to allow a repairman or deliveryman to come into the house. The security system also included the installation of sensors on all of the windows. I immediately know if a window is opened or if glass gets broken. There are moisture, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to provide notice if there’s a threat. I am reassured that everything in the house is safe and secure and know that in the event of an emergency, the proper authorities will be sent right away.
