How long before I get my certification?

I felt like I had been going to school forever. I see these people starting their kids in preschool at the age of three. By the time they graduate from high school, they are so tired of going to school that they don’t want to go to college. I started out in kindergarten at five. That was thirteen long years of learning. I didn’t want to put in another four to six years into school. My dad tried to convince me to get my HVAC certification. I did a search on the web about how long it would take to get my certification. I learned there are four ways. You can do ‘on the job’ training. This has you working from the ground up. You start up working at the very bottom and you end up slowly learning the trade. There is also an apprenticeship. You work with an HVAC company while still in high school. You slowly learn the job. This can take from three to five years until you have your certification. You can also go to school for your certification. By getting an accredited course through a local college, you can get your certification in six months, or your degree in HVAC in two years. Finally, becoming a licensed HVAC technician is the ultimate goal for most HVAC technicians. This needs from two to five years of experience on the job. I already did thirteen years of school, and even the six months of schooling seemed like a lot. I didn’t want to go to school anymore. My dad then reminded me that I was still learning, but I would also be getting paid.
