I was very disappointed when I broke my arm and I was rushed to the hospital.
While it was the worst pain having a broken arm, I was about to be in some serious discomfort.
They put me under to get my arm back in place and put a cast on me. When I came to, I was mad about the temperature control settings. It was absolutely freezing in my room and I couldn’t take such powerful air conditioning. I asked the doctor if the temperature control settings could be adjusted in my room, and then he said how it was against policy to not have the A/C up like it was. This was unacceptable to me. I kept complaining about the A/C constantly. Finally one of the nurses listened to me and she felt my pain. Even though the A/C was up so high to prevent the spread of germs, she said it couldn’t hurt to adjust the temperature control settings because I wasn’t sick. She adjusted the temperature control settings for me and I was thankful for that. When the doctor came back in the room, he tried to crank the A/C back up but I shouted at him. I must have shouted really loud because I made him jump and he actually listened. He left me alone and while I was stuck in that hospital bed, I was actually comfortable considering the circumstances. It was boring and all I could do was watch TV while I was healing up, but at least I had family members come to visit. People said they were shocked my room was so comfortable because usually it’s so freezing in the hospital.
