Every so often you will find that major town workers will go on strike.
When it happens though, you figure out just how important their services are in mankind today. This was the case when our local garbage collectors went on strike. There was no collections of garbage for over 2 weeks as well as this caused some drastic troubles within the air quality, everywhere in the town had awful air quality as well as some were absolutely leaving town over it.
