My kids went back to school last week, and I am ready to just let someone have it because of what they have been telling me about the terrible indoor air quality in the school building. They said that the indoor air quality in the school is even worse than it was last year at the end of the school year. Back then, the weather was really heating up and they were having a really hard time staying awake in the classrooms after lunch. I think that it’s because the air conditioning in that part of the school just wasn’t working correctly. I complained about it several times, and I was told that the school board had voted to completely redo the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in all of the local schools over the summer break. Well, when the kids came home from school for the first time last week, they immediately started to tell me about how bad the indoor air quality was in their classrooms again. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, either, because I was sure that they were going to do something about it over the summer break! I was so mad about the fact that the kids were having to endure terrible indoor air quality again that I was ready to spit nails. However, this time when I called up the principal to find out what the problem was, I found out that the issue was just a temporary one. They had a commercial HVAC team there the first week of school to test out the HVAC programs to make sure that everything was going to be running okay for the rest of the year.
