I enjoy using the stationary bike

Six days a week, I do some type of physical exercise. I try to change things up to keep my workouts interesting and focus on different muscles. Some days, I concentrate mainly on aerobic exercise. Other days are targeted at strength training. I always make time at the beginning of the workout to warm up and thoroughly stretch my muscles. I then spend at least an hour running, biking, jumping rope or lifting weights. If the weather is nice, I like to swim laps or take my kayak out on the lake. If the weather conditions are too chilly or wet, I can pedal the stationary bike inside. The stationary bike is such a pleasant workout that I feel a little guilty about using it too often. I know I’m burning a decent amount of calories and working my leg muscles. I make sure to pedal fast and get sweaty and out of breath. The bike features a touchscreen display that tells me the duration of the workout, how many calories I’ve burned and tracks the history of my workouts. I always hope to beat my personal best. I can choose from different styles of programs and set a specific end goal. I can elevate the intensity with the touch of a button at any time. I normally burn between 400 to 500 calories when I ride the bike. However, I sometimes get lazy on the bike. I like to read on my ipad and listen to music while I workout. I catch myself pedaling leisurely and relaxing. I only permit myself to use the bike once per week. It’s a great workout on days when I’m sore or tired.
