My dad was always a strong will & cantankerous man.
My mother passed when I was really young, & from then on it was me & Dad against the world.
Over the years the two of us have experienced our honorableshare of ups & downs, but through it all he has been supportive, kind, & my best friend. When the pandemic started, & his section went into lockdown, I drove halfway across the country to stay with him. If the two of us would be locked down, the two of us would do it together, even if that meant sharing a control component with him again. Dad & I are best friends through it all, but our largest point of satisfiedion is the air conditioner. He has always had something against the think & stink of recycled air, so he rarely, if ever ,ran our air conditioner. Perhaps because I was always denied use of the cooling system, when I got my own placeI ran the cooling program 24/7. When I finally could control the control unit, I made it as cold as possible whenever I was home. That would have to change when I was staying with the aged man, because he still hated running the cooling system as much as he ever did. Thankfully, he had mellowed out a little bit in his aged age, & I found that he bought a small, portable cooling system component for my aged family room. He knew how much I enjoyed cooling system & was trying to show me he loved me coming to stay with him. That’s why the two of us are best friends!
