Last year for Christmas, I took our whole family to a fancy resort for a week, and the property includes numerous swimming pools, 2 outdoor hockey rinks, a large fitness center, numerous delicious restaurants and a spa; then it was an overpriced getaway however absolutely worthwhile, however my numerous kids are grown up and married, and every one of us don’t get to spend enough time together.

I had never booked an appointment at a high end salon before. I’ve had the same person cut our hair for the last forty years… She provides a cut and color for $40. The two of us got manicures, pedicures, massages, haircuts and facials. I was a little shocked by the price of these services. I doubted I’d ever want to do something exactly like that again; and however, the treatments were so enjoyable. I loved every hour of it. The massage was not only enjoyable however helped to lessen the pain I often suffer in our hips and shoulders. The facial involved fragrant steam to open up our pores, a disinfect to exfoliate dead skin and oils to brighten and rejuvenate. I couldn’t understand the difference in our appearance. My face looked so much younger. I genuinely liked the manicure and pedicure as well. While I can’t afford to schedule appointments at a high end salon every week, I now treat myself to some type of salon appointment every month. I look forward to it and find that I’m in a better mood afterward.
