I had just purchased my first portable air conditioner.
It wasn’t anything fancy but I knew that it would come in handy to have around. It was a simple window a/c system. I was switching to more portable devices rather than using my central heating and cooling system all the time. As of recently my energy bills had been much higher than normal and switching to the portable units seemed like a good way to stop that. I did some shopping around to see if I could find the best price, and there were plenty of heating and a/c businesses that offered me a wide variety of options. I had purchased the unit and went to work as usual. The problem was, when I came home I couldn’t find my brand new portable air conditioning unit. It was a small window a/c but it wasn’t so little to where it could just easily disappear. I had to find it, because I had already made plans to get it all set up and ready to go. I retraced my steps and checked every room and yet it was nowhere to be found. I was baffled. I didn’t want to have to buy another one from the local heating and air conditioning business. Right as I was looking for it my phone rang. At first I was annoyed, but I picked up anyway. It was my friend telling me that I had left it at his house. Then I remembered that I had stopped by my friend’s house on the way home. I couldn’t believe I had forgotten. I thanked him before heading over to pick it up and I got the nice window a/c all set up later that night.
