I am fairly sensitive to heat, and I think that the older I get, the worse it is.
I’ve noticed that over the past year, I just don’t want to be anywhere where it’s not air conditioned.
I feel like I swell up all over and then I just feel terrible. I don’t know if it’s the lack of A/C that does this to me or if it’s the medication that I’m on. Whatever the reason, I have to be in a place where they have the temperature on the thermostat set just right. Otherwise, I’m just miserable. And when I’m miserable, I like to make everyone else around me feel miserable too! I know that’s a terrible way to be, but that’s just how I am. Last week, I went to a fancy dinner with my sister and the restaurant’s HVAC sister wasn’t working correctly. The air conditioning was running, but the temperature in the restaurant was way too high for my liking. I complained to our waiter, but he said that there was nothing he could do. He said that the dining room’s temperature settings were managed from another location! I think that’s ridiculous, and I told him so. I also asked to speak to the manager. I guess being hot without air conditioning also makes you very crabby and mean. I yelled at the manager and I told him that if they couldn’t control the A/C in their own restaurant then maybe they should think about buying a window unit air conditioner to install right next to my table! My sister was so embarrassed.
