When it comes to visiting families during the holidays, most people are more excited than ever to see their loved ones.
Especially, if they have been without any contact with him for the past few several years.
Same way too every single year for a while, until I actually get there and then I remember why I dread the trip to begin with. Unfortunately, my family suffers from a lot of trauma and infighting. One of the worst offenders of all this fighting is the AC system. Every single person in my family has a different idea of what the ideal temperature should be. We have all agreed to help settle the temperature disputes by meeting at a different family member’s house every single year. Whoever’s house we visit is the one who decides the temperature. They’re following their rules. However, that does not mean that the more headstrong members of my family will not stop endlessly complaining about how the temperature in the home is either too hot or too cold. It has really made it hard for me to sit back and enjoy the holidays when I can hear my uncle on the corner arguing with my mother about wasn’t for sure her home should be, well it will start out as one person fighting will quickly turn into three or four and I always have myself leaving early. Sometimes, family getting together is going to be stressful. I wish that my family could be like other families during the holidays and not have to worry so much about temperature.
