There are advantages to a rooftop HVAC system

I spent quite a bit of time searching for the right building and location to house a coffee shop and bakery.

I chose an older brick building with ample parking. I was able to purchase the commercial space at a reasonable price because it required a lot of updates and renovation. The roof had been leaking for quite a few years and created significant water damage. The electrical wiring was outdated and the plumbing pipes were in poor condition. I needed to replace the windows, light fixtures and the floor. One of the biggest concerns was the heating and cooling system. An ancient packaged HVAC unit was situated at the back of the building. The component was dirty, corroded and dented. It was an eyesore and took up a great deal of space. I contacted an HVAC contractor to inspect the heating/cooling unit and provide a recommendation. In his opinion, the packaged unit was not worth keeping. He said the repairs would be very expensive and the system would not be very energy efficient. He thought it would be cheaper in the long run to invest in a modern heating and cooling system. I ended up buying a commercial rooftop unit that combines heating and cooling capacity. As the name implies, this type of system is installed on the roof of the building. It frees up valuable space in the parking lot, improves the aesthetics of my business and the equipment is protected from accidental damage and vandalism. The system is easily accessible for service and there’s minimal disruption. The commercial rooftop heating and cooling unit provides year-round temperature control and operates efficiently.
