They could pretty much charge anything they wanted, because there were only two places. That is one of the biggest reasons why I decided to start my own business. I could have started working for one of those companies, but I thought it was going to be more beneficial to open a business of my own. I started off working on the weekends. I had 100 business cards printed out at the print shop. The telephone number for the business was printed on the card. The first set of business cards that I ordered were misprinted. The number was printed backwards on the business cards. All of the numbers were jumbled up and there was absolutely no way to contact the heating and AC repair service using that card. Thankfully, the print shop refunded my money and reprinted the business cards for free. The second time they were made, the number was printed correctly. I gave out all of those business cards in the first months that I was open for business. It took a while before I had a bunch of regular customers, but now I am the number one service provider in the region. I put one of the companies out of business and the other heating and AC repair service is struggling to stay afloat. I am constantly hiring employees that no longer want to work for the other company.
