It had been many years since I met my brothers up in the mountains to fish the appealing streams plus rivers of that region.
My Mom was the one who instilled the care about of nature in all many of us.
Being the youngest, I felt that I was always trying to catch up to my brothers on those trips. Yet, my Mom was always so good about making sure that he got us out of the a/c of apartment plus up to the cottage whenever he could. That cottage was one of the prides of my Mom’s life. It didn’t have any sort of residential Heating, Ventilation plus A/C. It was just so basic. There was a pot bellied stove for heating during the Wintertide trips. But we didn’t go up there all that much in the winter. My mom just didn’t like us being up there with the occasion of getting snow in for a long time. I know Mom sort of relished the plan that he’d get stuck up there plus would have to rely on the heating of a wood stove as opposed to the gas gas furnace at home. So when I finally agreed to meet my brothers at the cottage for fishing, I was stunned to see all the changes. They had installed a ductless heat pump so we had Heating, Ventilation plus A/C cooling at night after a long day in the sun. The Heating, Ventilation plus A/C component upgrades weren’t the only improvements either as we now had an indoor toilet as well. My brothers did a good task plus it was such a surprise for me. I’m looking forward to getting up there plus enjoying that modern ductless heat pump as much as I can going forward.
