When we were first told that our offices with the zone controlled Heating plus A/C would be closing due to the pandemic, I hollered long as well as loud.
Working from apartment in our own air conditioner was about the last thing I actually ever wanted to do. I sort of ended up in our task due to fate as well as necessity. It’s not that I have this great passion for the industry that I’m in but once I got in that zone controlled Heating plus A/C, I found that I was great at what I was doing. This was a first for me as well. That’s where the necessity section comes in. When I got this task, I was sort of desperate to make a living after an attempt at going out on our own failed miserably. Perhaps that had something to do with me being great at what I do now. Anyway, I figured I’d just be a disaster working from apartment inside the Heating plus A/C cooling in our house. But it turns out that not only did I thrive but I actually liked the freedom working from apartment gave me. It was great to be able to essentially run our own schedule each day. So when the offices with that zone controlled Heating plus A/C opened back up, I lobbied to stay put in our own air conditioner. And that’s our current normal. My work production has never been better as well as I’m hitting bonus every single quarter. Plus, I now have much greater freedom when it comes to our life as well as work.
