I enjoy laboring from lake house & that has been one of the greater surprises of our career.
When every one of us were first told that our offices with the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation & A/C would be closing due to the pandemic, I hollered long & loud.
Working from lake house in our own air conditioning was about the last thing I really ever wanted to do. I sort of ended up in our task due to fate & necessity. It’s not that I have this great passion for the industry that I’m in but once I got in that zone controlled Heating, Ventilation & A/C, I found that I was good at what I was doing. This was a first for myself and others as well. That’s where the necessity area comes in. When I got this task, I was sort of desperate to make a living after an attempt at going out on our own failed miserably. Perhaps that had something to do with myself and others being good at what I do now. Anyway, I figured I’d just be a disaster laboring from lake house inside the Heating, Ventilation & A/C cooling in our house. But it turns out that not only did I thrive but I really liked the freedom laboring from lake house offered me. It was great to be able to essentially run our own schedule each afternoon. So when the offices with that zone controlled Heating, Ventilation & A/C opened back up, I lobbied to stay put in our own air conditioning. And that’s our new normal. My work production has never been better & I’m hitting bonus every single quarter. Plus, I now have much greater freedom when it comes to our life & work.
