Hitting the road for maximum air conditioning

It’s going to be a hot summer.

That’s no new bulletin where I’m from. But the fact is that I won’t be inside the air conditioning of my home much this summer. Between several business related road trips and some long overdue vacation time, I’ll be on the road this summer. That doesn’t exactly hurt my feelings. I love this region and love living here. But I’m looking forward to avoiding a lot of the extreme heat and humidity we get in the summer. Sure, it’s going to be hot in other parts of where I’m traveling. And going down the highway comes with a fair share of the HVAC cooling being on full blast. Actually, the air conditioning in my car is so intense that I can barely handle it on half way. But sandwiched in between my visits to customers for planned upgrades that have to be done onsite, I have some time in the cool weather. I planned my trip so I could work my way through some higher elevations where the need for air conditioning just isn’t that pressing. I’m taking all of my camping gear with me to take full advantage of several breaks in my schedule where I’ll have at least 4 days in a row. While a lot of the summer will be spent working, I think getting out of the air conditioning for camping in cooler climates all summer has a great ring to it. And when I’m working, I know just where I can stay to get the sort of quality heating and air that I will want. The interstate hotels seem to have the best HVAC equipment and they sure do fit my budget a lot better.
