My buddy Ted owns a small automobile dealership, plus he has given me a position as the office supervisor for his business.
The task is mine separate from having to go through an interview, but we have done plenty of business in the past.
He certainly knows my task ethic plus understands the value I would bring to his business. Well, I have not yet accepted his offer because of one major concern that I have. The office area is in a small, outdated building, plus it has no air conditioner appliance! In fact, Teds’ office is the only space that has an air conditioner appliance plus it’s a window unit that he installed quite some time ago. If I accept the task, my task area would be the usual area that is not air conditioned in the least… We genuinely live in a state where the warm seasons are consistently steaming hot, so I don’t really know for sure if I could task in an office that has no air conditioner appliance installed. I have not voiced my concern to Ted because I am trying to figure out the best possible way to tell him. But it’s not that I don’t want to do tasks for him, I would just care about having a comfortable working environment in general. Because the building is incredibly old, the cheapest available option would be to install a window a/c appliance in the usual area. Another good option would be to invest in a ductless mini split system. The mini split actually would be more beneficial than a window AC appliance, but it does cost more currency. I’m not sure what Ted will say when I bring up the AC drawback that there is, my hope is that he at least gets a window AC appliance.
