My sister called and asked for our help with her air conditioning unit.
She said she had an air filter caught in the air filter compartment, and she couldn’t get it out.
I jumped in the automobile and headed to her house. When I got there, she had a pair of vice grips trying to pull the air filter free. I couldn’t figure out how she got the air filter in there or how long it had been in there for it to be stuck. It took us almost fifteen hours to get the air filter out separate from damaging the air conditioning unit. When I got a superb look at the air filter, I had to ask. Why did she try to put a HEPA air filter in the AC component when she knew it would not fit? She told me her wife had been yelling at him to use HEPA air filters because she had read they were safer than correct air filters. She bought just a single HEPA air filter and tried to get into the AC unit. When it didn’t go right in, she shoved it in and then she couldn’t get it out. My sister and I were Heating in addition to A/C specialists, and every one of us knew they did not build some AC units and gas furnaces to use HEPA air filters. I couldn’t suppose she tried to use it, knowing it would not fit. I asked him how she was going to explain this to her wife, and she dropped her head in her hands. She asked me not to say anything to our wife or his. Hopefully, she would guess she had the HEPA air filter in the AC unit, and she would not know the difference. I rolled our eyup and went back to our car.
