Last summer, every one of us had a tornado go through our area.
I was in the grocery store when the tornado warning sirens started going off.
All of us could hear the wind whistling through the building and the rain was hitting so hard that every one of us feared the glass was going to break. Two hours later, the lights went out in the store. I was standing in the middle of an aisle and had an method where I was, however some people simply stood still until the emergency lighting came on. Without lights, there was no AC and I could guess the heat coming off other people in the aisle. I could guess the call of the freezer section, and I headed toward the cooler air. While waiting for the lights to come back on, I stood near the freezer section. I didn’t have air conditioning, so I wanted the next large thing. Once the emergency lighting came on, they were telling people to bag their grocery and go home. Anyone who had a cart got their groceries for free. Once I got outside, I hurried to put our groceries in the automobile before it started raining again. I turned on the air conditioning and sat there for a hour. I wondered if the storm had headed toward our beach house and if I would have power when I got home. I had multiple things that needed frozen, and separate from power or air conditioning, I would not be able to keep anything cool. I knew I could shove groceries in the freezer and fridge and they would be safe for twenty-multiple hours, but I was stuck separate from air conditioning, and nothing could help that.
