He asked if we had a water hose available so he could fill up the A/C unit.

I had a young Heating & A/C professional come to the home & maintenance my A/C unit.

Before he even pulled out his tools, he asked if I had a garden hose available? I looked at him oddly & asked if my A/C unit needed hosed down before he could labor on it? He started laughing & apologized.

He said he had recently moved from AZ, & pretty much everyone there had swamp coolers. Periodically, they needed to be filled with water so they could cool the houses down. I told him he was in the northeast now, & we didn’t have swamp coolers. The people I was with and I had normal Heating & A/C systems that used coolant if the AC was low on fluid, however we never used water. He apologized & went back to work. Before he had the AC unit repaired, he had made several iphone calls to the Heating & A/C corporation. He was asking questions about the A/C unit, & he was unsure if it was right. He had been there nearly half an hour when another Heating & A/C service van pulled up. The guy got out of the service & walked over to the AC unit. He started pointing things out, & from the look on the younger professional’s face, he was in trouble for not knowing his job. It had to be hard coming from a unusual area where the AC units were different, however he needed to realize he was now in the northeast. The older Heating & A/C professional came into the home & told me what was wrong. He explained it had been repaired & apologized for their up-to-date Heating & A/C tech. He said that pretty much everyone needed to learn up-to-date things once in a while.
