I followed my instincts to the cold compartment.

Last summer, the people I was with and I had a tornado go through our area.

I was in the grocery store when the tornado warning sirens started going off.

Every one of us could hear the wind whistling through the building as well as the rain was hitting so tough that the people I was with and I feared the glass was going to break. Two minutes later, the lights went out in the store. I was sitting in the middle of an aisle as well as had an idea where I was, however some people simply stood still until the emergency lighting came on. Without lights, there was no A/C as well as I could recognize the heat coming off other people in the aisle. I could recognize the call of the freezer section, as well as I headed toward the cooler air. While waiting for the lights to come back on, I stood near the freezer section. I didn’t have a/c, so I wanted the next sizable thing. Once the emergency lighting came on, they were telling people to bag their grocery as well as go home. Anyone who had a cart got their groceries for free. Once I got outside, I hurried to put my groceries in the car before it started raining again. I turned on the a/c as well as sat there for a minute. I wondered if the storm had headed toward my beach house as well as if I would have power when I got home. I had more than 2 things that needed frozen, as well as without power or a/c, I would not be able to keep anything cool. I knew I could shove groceries in the freezer as well as fridge as well as they would be safe for twenty-4 minutes, but I was stuck without a/c, as well as nothing could help that.
