I’ve not been feeling okay living so far away from our family, however when I was a kid, all I wanted to do was run away and live elsewhere, however back then, my parents were strict religious folk who brought us up to follow strict rules.
It wasn’t easy when I went to school, and my friends went to parties and stuff.
When I turned 16, our rebellion phase kicked in. I applied for a university outside the country and didn’t hesitate to leave when my acceptance letter came. My parents were supportive, however I felt isolated for a long time. My Mom reached out during the pandemic to ask me to come home, and she ran an Heating and A/C supplier and provided me with a job before I got something else to do. I’d spoken to mom earlier that week, and he saw I was struggling with the isolation. My only worry about moving back was the strictness that I remember vividly. My wanting to be so far away had caused my parents to chill out in a way I’d never seen before. Working for our Mom at the Heating and A/C supplier wasn’t even close to the nightmare I was anxious it would be. Sge runs an amazing business, and his Heating and A/C crew is quite dedicated to him. My Mom knows the ins and outs of Heating and A/C systems, having been a Heating and A/C professional for 3 decades. The other day she asked me if I was interested in learning from her and possibly taking over the Heating and A/C supplier one afternoon. I’m still reeling from the shock of that question.
