After more than three years of running our own small business, my wife Bonnie and I were both exhausted.
I had been putting in 60 hour weeks the entire time, and so had Bonnie, we were making nice money now, but it seemed like we kept getting busier! Before we became too worn out plus depleted, I decided to surprise Bonnie with a trip to the shore. This was the middle of the summer, when the heating plus A/C supplier is at its most hectic, even though I didn’t want to wait any longer. My right-hand man is Denny, who is a certified heating plus A/C tech with a bad attitude. I have him paired with Mark, who is excellent with client service, so she talks to the clients while Denny handles the heating plus A/C repairs. I also have Bobby, who just acquired her heating plus A/C certifications and has over a year of experience, then Bonnie normally runs the office for me, booking service calls plus paying invoices for heating plus A/C equipment, her assistant has been with us for a few months, plus I suppose she can handle running the heating plus A/C office for a few afternoons while all of us take a trip. Throwing caution to the wind, Bonnie plus I drove to the shore plus stayed in an AirBnB for several afternoons. I had to laugh, because as soon as all of us evaluated it I found that the central a/c in the home was on the fritz. I was on a trip for the first time in 4, but the first thing I had to do was heating plus A/C repairs! Life is funny that way.
