My family owns a lovely lake house that our grandfather built.
He came to this country from Europe and set up a successful restaurant.
He always loved to cook and shared his amazing dishes with many people. My dad took over that restaurant and has been running it for many years. In my family, I never had any desire to work in the restaurant. it ‘s my brother who is learning from my dad and will be inheriting the amazing restaurant. My grandfather also left us this beautiful lake house that we all head to when we need to escape. Last summer, everyone was busy so I went there with a couple of friends just to escape and chill. When I got to the lake house, there was some work that had to be done including installing a new heat pump. This house is in an amazing spot in the south that gets mild winters. However, summers are no joke, so we need the best cooling system to keep the space comfortable. I came with a friend who is an HVAC expert and she got to work replacing the aging heat pump. As much as I knew she wouldn’t charge me for the job, I told her I’d pay the full fee. When we aren’t using the lake house, we rent it out to visitors staying in the area so it brings in income for the family. So, it’s only fair to pay for the heat pump replacement and any other work to keep the lake house looking fantastic.
