I was talking to my neighbor last week and told her that my son and grandson installed a ductless HVAC system in my home. She looked shocked to hear that it was my son and grandson who did the installation. She told me that when she and her husband were discussing getting ductless HVAC, the HVAC company told them they did not recommend the homeowner install the mini split on their own.. I told her that my husband and I didn’t install the ductless HVAC system. My son and grandson did the installation and made sure it was running perfectly. She was a naysayer and told me everything that could go wrong with my mini split HVAC system. I told her to quit being a worrywart and that everything would be fine. Three days later, she came over to my house and asked if my ductless HVAC was working okay? I told her it had only been a couple of days and it was working well. After that, she was there every day questioning my HVAC system. I finally told her that my son and grandson were both HVAC technicians. They would not install the ductless HVAC if they didn’t think it was going to work efficiently for me. She told me she would never have worried about me so much if I had told her they were HVAC technicians from the very beginning. I just shook my head, knowing that she would still worry, because that’s who she is. I’ll be the one worrying if she starts asking my son and grandson to install a mini split HVAC system for her. They wouldn’t be doing anything right, and she would nag the entire time.
