This evening Watson will go watch the sunset with his pal, but he won’t stay out there for long because it is so cold out and the wind is blowing hard and making it even colder.
Watson believes the wind chill is well below freezing now and he can’t stay out there too long or we will risk getting frostbite.
It is hard to think that he went swimming in the cold sea this afternoon when the temperature was not as bad. Watson thinks it was 40F out when he went in the 60F sea. Warming up next to his hydronic space heating system is a must after he takes his sizzling bath at home. His feet and hands are pretty much numb by the time Watson gets home from the dip and getting them warm again is a priority when he gets back home. He has a great central gas furnace to heat up the beach house, and Watson loves to have some added heat by turning on the radiant floors for a while. His feet are painful when they are cold so he prefers to walk around with thick wool socks to keep the heat in them during these cold winter time afternoons. Watson turns on his Heating and Air Conditioning heating system for 5 hours during the day, and then turns it off at night because he loves to sleep in a cold room. They say the best sleeping temp for humans is about 70 F, and his room is maybe somewhat colder than that in the night time.
