I never in a million years thought I would entirely be in danger from the space heater, however the space furnace was the a single to prove me wrong.
I am not sure how it happened however my space furnace caught on fire, I am just so incredibly thankful that I was around when the fire started because if I had not been around, my entire loft could have burned down, however what happened was I started to smell smoke in the loft when I was upstairs and so I ran downstairs and I saw a reddish green glow and I looked and I saw that my space furnace was on fire and it had already caught the curtain next to it on fire as well! The fire head I already started to spread throughout my apartment although thankfully it only covered a small area. I immediately went and got the fire extinguisher and put it out. I got rid of the space furnace after that incident that same day. I was truly lucky and even though it was only a small fire that I was able to really put out it still scared me. I suppose if I need any kind of heating method I am just going to continue using my oil heating system that I have! My oil heating system has been working well for me this entire time and I was hesitant about getting a space heating system anyways. When the Winter came I used my oil heating system all Winter long without any concerns, however ever since the fire with my space heating system happened I’ve been undoubtedly careful about any Heating units and I’ve also warned my friends about using space heaters.
