When I called the Heating and A/C supplier last week, I told them I wanted a current a/c unit, however the lady who answered the iphone put me on hold until she could get an Heating and A/C worker to talk to me; When the lady got on the iphone, she asked what I was looking for? I told him I wanted an energy efficient unit.
I had heard that some AC units had an energy efficiency rating of 20 and higher.
I wanted something with a high energy efficiency rating; She asked me to hold for a minute. She must have pulled out some information, however she was talking about gas furnaces. I wasn’t interested in purchasing a gas furnace. I wanted an a/c unit. I don’t think if she wasn’t listening to what I said, or if she was talking to someone else, however she was asking them for information on high efficiency gas furnaces. I had to say something many times before she directed the conversation back to me. When I knew I had her attention, I told him I wanted an a/c unit, and not a gas furnace. She told me it was winter, like I didn’t think what season it was. There was snow on the ground, and the temperature was in the low thirties. I wanted to order our a/c component now, because when I purchased the gas furnace, it took more than five weeks for it to be delivered. I didn’t want it to be ninety degrees before the a/c component was delivered and installed. She apologized and said she should have realized I meant AC when I told him I wanted something with a high SEER rating.
