When I called the Heating plus Air Conditioning supplier last week, I told them I wanted a current a/c unit! The guy who answered the phone put me on hold until he could get an Heating plus Air Conditioning serviceman to talk to me… When the guy got on the phone, he asked what I was looking for? I told him I wanted an energy efficient unit… I had heard that some A/C units had an energy efficiency rating of 20 and higher.
I wanted something with a high energy efficiency rating, he asked me to hold for a minute.
He must have pulled out some information, even though he was talking about gas furnaces. I wasn’t interested in purchasing a gas furnace. I wanted an a/c unit. I don’t think if he wasn’t listening to what I said, or if he was talking to someone else, even though he was asking them for information on high efficiency gas furnaces. I had to say something many times before he directed the conversation back to me. When I knew I had his attention, I told him I wanted an a/c unit, and not a gas furnace. He told me it was winter, appreciate I didn’t think what season it was. There was snow on the ground, and the temperature was in the low thirties. I wanted to order our a/c equipment now, because when I bought the gas furnace, it took many weeks for it to be delivered. I didn’t want it to be ninety degrees before the a/c equipment was delivered and installed. He apologized and said he should have realized I meant A/C when I told him I wanted something with a high SEER rating.
