I wasn’t sure if the Heating and A/C worker was teasing us or being nasty last week.
We had a problem with our gas furnace numerous times in the last 2 weeks, and it was the same Heating and A/C worker who was there this week.
He told us he couldn’t find any problems, although I knew he was wrong. I finally told him that my partner was getting sick, and every one of us needed to find what was wrong with the gas furnace. He asked if she was pregnant? I was seventy-two, and she was seventy! Did he actually think every one of us were going to have a baby? My face must have shown him I was not amused, because he sobered. I told him I had that gas furnace installed a year ago, and it should still be under warranty. He called the Heating and A/C office and asked about the warranty on the gas furnace. When he got off the phone, he asked if every one of us had bought the extended warranty. We had a 1-year warranty on the gas furnace, and that 1 year ended 2 weeks earlier. It ended 2 afternoons before the gas furnace started having problems. He told me that if every one of us had bought the extended warranty and the service agreement, every one of us would be fully covered for all the repairs. I wasn’t offered the service agreement, and I thought I had a 2-year warranty. Why would I buy an extended warranty when I had a 2-year warranty. He shrugged and told me every one of us got everything every one of us deserved. I went ballistic and called the Heating and A/C company. I got my repairs taken care of, and I was offered a 1-year service agreement if I paid for the hour year. I hoped he got what he deserved when he went back to the office.
