Trading the gas furnace for the heat pump

I like living down south very much.

The thought of trading in my gas furnace for a heat pump was entirely lovely.

And for more than a decade, it’s what kept me motivated to find the right situation so I could leave ugly winters and all that heating behind. It finally came when I took a job in the southern offices. It’s been a life changer and a professional replacement. For one, I like that my new office has zone controlled heating and A/C which provides awesome cooling comfort even in the teeth of summer. For sure, we have a brutal summer that needs plenty of air conditioning. But it’s worth dealing with those hard 4 months to have the rest of the year. I spend a lot of time in a hockey group. One of my favorite men in that hockey league is a heating and A/C specialist. He offered to come over and do the air conditioning tune up at my new place. And I ended up being sure that I was around when he did this heating and A/C service. I wanted to take the chance to see my friend doing what he was an expert in doing. I also wanted to take the opportunity to learn about the heat pump. Coming from a region where heating was the large heating and A/C worry, I had a lot to learn about heat pumps. He was so wonderful explaining what a charmingly adjustable equipment the heat pump legitimately is. I was blown away by the easy, yet lovely heating and A/C technology that makes it all work. And since I was his last heating and A/C service call for the afternoon, we opted to go over to the driving range with a couple of beers.
